Fast-Boot Technology for Embedded Systems
The solution study describes a low-cost, fast-boot solution for an embedded system using Intel® architecture to quickly initialize the system and improve time-critical computing applications, such as in-vehicle infotainment, medical devices, and home-control systems.
The document describes the benefits of using the Intel® Boot Loader Development Kit. The biggest difference between a traditional BIOS initialization process and an embedded boot loader is the time it takes to boot the platform, just a few seconds from off to ready.
